In short: VELTR asks for no account, shows no ads and doesn't measure what you do. Your settings, your notes, your tasks and your screen time stay on your PC.

What the software sends, and why

• Your licence. On activation, then once a week, VELTR sends your licence key and your PC's name to Lemon Squeezy to check that it is valid and to count your two PCs.
• The weather. The Weather widget sends your city's position to the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (MET Norway, api.met.no). When you look up a city, its name is sent to OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) to find it.
• Updates. VELTR asks GitHub whether a new version exists, and downloads it from GitHub.
• Web search. If you choose to search the web for a text from VELTR, your browser opens the matching Google search.

Nothing else leaves your PC: no usage statistics, no reports, no content of your files.

What the software keeps on your PC

Your settings, your quick notes, your tasks, your clipboard history and your screen time are saved in your Windows folder (AppData). Your licence is encrypted there for your Windows account. Uninstalling erases this data.

The purchase

The payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy, the official reseller, which receives your email address, your name and your payment details for the order and the invoice. The publisher receives your name and email address from Lemon Squeezy, used only for your licence and for support. See Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy for the rest.

This website

This website uses no cookies to measure its audience, no analytics tool and no font loaded from a third-party service. A cookie remembers the language you choose, if you choose one. The host may keep technical logs (IP address, date) to run the service.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you can ask to access, correct or delete the data about you, or object to its processing, by writing to contact@veltr.app. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL.
